Stabbing suspect leads sought

A sketch has been released of a suspect wanted in connection with what the Placer County Sheriff’s Office is describing as an attempted murder in North Lake Tahoe.

The Sheriff’s Office said that a victim survived the stabbing in an attack in the Kings Beach area of Placer County on Sept. 22.

The suspect fled from the scene of the attack, running west on Highway 28. The attacker was described as wearing a light-blue, hooded sweatshirt, “beanie” style cap and light-blue shorts.

The man was about 25 to 30, about 5-feet-eight-inches tall, 165 pounds with brown eyes.

The Sheriff’s Office is requesting public help in identifying the suspect and offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to arrest and prosecution.
