Sierra roadwork schedule though Nov. 10

Caltrans has released its roadwork schedule through Saturday.

Long-term projects

Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Long Ravine underpass to just east of the Magra Road Overcrossing: Roadwork continues on a $50.6 million project to construct a three-mile truck climbing lane on eastbound I-80 and make other improvements to the interstate just east of Colfax, including replacing and widening the Cape Horn undercrossing bridge. Motorists can expect the No. 1 lane closed around the clock until 8 p.m. Thursday for drainage work.

Short-term projects

  • Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from the junction at State Route 267/89 to the Farad Undercrossing: Eastbound motorists can expect lane closures at various locations from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday for striping operations.
  • Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from the Junction at 267/89 to the Hinton Road Undercrossing: Westbound motorists can expect lane closures at various locations from 9 a.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday for striping operations.
  • Interstate 80 (Nevada County) at the Soda Springs Overcrossing: Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures on the overcrossing around the clock Monday through Friday for striping operations.
  • Interstate 80 (Nevada County) from the Hinton Road Undercrossing to the junction at State Route 267/89: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 4 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday for bridge work.
  • Interstate 80 (Placer County) from Linda Creek to the Sacramento County line: Westbound motorists can expect traffic control from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday for landscape work.
