“Scrooge the Musical,” based on Charles Dickens’ holiday classic “A Christmas Carol” will be produced by Placer County’s Take Note Troupe.
“This delightful family show will bring light and Christmas spirit to your holiday season,” said Director LaRee Florence. “Our cast will sing and dance and share the message that it is never too late for a change of heart, that family and love are worth sacrificing for, and that looking outward to bring joy to others brings even greater joy to our own lives.”
More than 45 young people ages 8 to 18 from all over the county, will perform harmonious singing and dancing in the production.
At each performance, TNT will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet.
Performances will be 7 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 5-7; 1 p.m. Dec. 1; and 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at State Theatre, 985 Lincoln Way, Auburn. Tickets are available on takenotetroupe.org.
The play’s music, lyrics, and book are by Leslie Bricusse.
