California Hunter Education Course

The Auburn Elks Lodge is hosting the California Hunter Education Course, a 10-hour program that starts April 13.
The course is a state- authorized program, required for purchasing a California hunting license or out-of-state licenses. It’s also recommended for anyone interested in firearms safety and usage, a press release said.
Course manuals and materials are provided free of charge.

The course is free and will include soft drinks both days, and lunch on Saturday. Attendees must be able to sit attentively through nine hours of instruction and take a 100-question test, consisting of true/false and multiple-choice questions.
Attendees must pre-register at wildlife.ca.gov/hunter-education by 6 p.m. April 13 to attend the course. The next course is tentatively scheduled for Aug. 10-11.
