Thanks to the Auburn Arts Commission and Let’s Never Forget Series Committee for the Celebration of the “Asian Influence in the Sierra.”
It was a great celebration of Chinese and Japanese cultures in Auburn last weekend!
Many thanks to the Auburn Arts Commission and Let’s Never Forget Series volunteers, who worked together for this amazing two day event.
The Myo-Wa-En, Garden of Peace and Tranquility in Granite Bay, was so beautiful and inspiring, even in the rain.
I enjoyed the display of Asian art hung in the halls of City Hall by the Auburn Arts Commission, as well as the graceful Ikebana floral arrangements.
The Heritage Bonsai display was also very interesting as described by a Bonsai club member.
There were many various-sized gongs on display, which were amazing to see, (but a bit loud to hear).
The children were having fun making origami paper cranes.
I was sorry to have missed some of the other interesting events.
I am grateful to those who have contributed so much to our community in the past and very appreciative of all the efforts of those who continue to make Auburn the wonderful place it is.
