College Corner: Spring Jazz Invitational

Editor's note: College Corner is a recurring feature that highlights news and coming events from Placer County’s institutions of higher learning.
The Sierra College Music Department presents a Spring Jazz Invitational Concert on Tuesday.
The event includes the Rocklin High School Jazz Ensemble directed by Tom Douglass, the Placer High School Jazz Ensemble directed by David Lawrenson, the Woodcreek High School Jazz Ensemble directed by Brad North and the Sierra College Jazz Ensemble directed by Greg McLaughlin. 
Works performed include “Ornithology” by Charlie Parker, “Ciudad De Oro” by Bob Washut, Oliver Nelson’s “Kilimanjaro” and “Tip Toe” by Thad Jones.
Tickets are available at the door. All proceeds benefit the Sierra College Music Department. There is a $3 parking fee on campus. Parking permits can be purchased at machines located within the campus parking lot.
