The Colfax Soroptimist Club has been honoring the achievements and community contributions of Colfax High School seniors for more than 40 years.

Students are selected by the teaching faculty on the basis of their academic achievement, extracurricular activities, leadership and community service.

The 2018 awards ceremony featured a dinner catered by TJ’s Restaurant in the high school multipurpose room. Students received a certificate and a check for $200 to recognize their service and hard work.

Family members and Soroptimists were treated to award recipients’ presentations that showcased their academic achievement, extracurricular/community activities, awards and achievements.

“Many Soroptimist members present made comments that said, in essence, ‘Our future will be in good hands because of the talented, hardworking and selfless young people that are now entering the adult world,’” said Alan Shuttleworth who helped with the event.
