Loomis Lions install officers at Blue Goose

An installation ceremony for the Loomis Lions Club was held June 19 at the Blue Goose Event Center in Loomis.

Lions member Bud Nobili was elected club president for the year 2018-19 and assumes his office on 1 July. He has been a member of the Loomis Lions Club for more than 25 years. He replaced current President Russ Kelley.

The club’s new officers include: President Bud Nobili, First Vice President Bob Christiansen, Secretary Vicky Morris, Treasurer Malcolm Singer, and Past President Russ Kelley. The newly elected board of directors include: Ron Jones, Chuck Grone, Frank Bailey, Pat Taylor, and Ron Morris. Jim William was elected tail twister, Dave Lucey lion tamer, and Val Singer membership.

Past Lion’s Governor Rich DeCuir inducted four new club members for Loomis. They included: Robert Black, John Bowler, Ed Cruz, and Steven Palmer.

The Loomis Lions Club has 50 members and meets at 12:15 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The club’s catered lunch meetings are at the Loomis Veterans Memorial Hall on Horseshoe Bar Road and at the Secret Ravine Vineyard and Winery on Barton Road.
