Well-behaved protestors

-A +A

I just read Mr Campbell's letter about the "disruption" of the protesters holding signs at the Homeland concert at the Auburn Library amphitheater during Tom McClintock's speech (Journal July 8). They were NOT disruptive, they stood quietly way off to the side of the lawn in the shade, I couldn't even read their signs from my seat in the top center of the lawn. They were neither approaching people or moving around  and dispersed when the speech ended.

Yes, one individual did inappropriately chase after him after his speech, he just continued walking and that was the end of it.

Sounds like Mr. Campbell was more upset at their cause than their behavior since large part of his letter addressed immigrants. … Another whole topic that shouldn't be associated with complaining about quiet, well-behaved protesters.
