Thanks from Trent’s family

-A +A

On behalf of the family of Trent Lindholdt, I would like to thank our friends and the community for all of the love and support during Trent’s brave battle against cancer. As you may or may not know, Trent was a local firefighter who ultimately lost his battle with cancer this past spring.  Since our loss, the love and support have continued and we are so grateful and blessed to be living in such a caring community.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the Auburn Fire Department and Auburn Hook and Ladder. There is truly a brotherhood in the fire service that goes beyond co-worker or even friend. They are brothers in word and in deed. They honored Trent by organizing an escort home from UCD (thanks to Foresthill Fire for their help in arranging this). They were amazing in planning and coordinating a fairly complicated traditional firefighter service, supporting us and guiding us through the service and hosting the gathering after.

Thank you doesn’t seem adequate.

We would also like to thank the Auburn PD for donations, and Officer Perez and his dad for building ramps at our home, you are the best.

Several businesses and organizations were generous beyond measure in their support and we ask that you support them in return. Mr. Pickles, Dutch Bros., Lincoln Fire Department, CA Firefighters Burn Institute, FireFighters First Credit Union, Auburn Hook & Ladder, and Auburn Fire Department for their successful fundraisers.  Park Victorian donated their beautiful B&B for our wedding preparation. And to Bootlegger’s for hosting our joyful wedding dinner.

We had so many who did us special favors, it’s impossible to mention each person. There were prepped meals, donations of services, loaned medical supplies, all things that made life easier during difficult times. We thank each and every one of you, and will never forget the kindness of our community. We will do our best to pay it forward.

Always remember, “T Dog Strong.”
