AAUW dinner proved a hit

Thanks to the publicity of the Auburn Journal and your writer Bridget Jones, the American Association of University Women international dinner on March 11 was a great success. Approximately 70 members and guests attended. Of those in attendance, about 12 were guests as a direct response to the front-page news article of March 7. It is a potluck dinner provided by the members and the variety of dishes is always well received. Corinne Fralick Hoag and Colin Hoag talked of their experiences as Peace Corps members in South Africa and Lesotho. They had slides and discussed the differences of each country and brought craft works from the areas. As a footnote, we did have one unusual guest. A baby goat (in diapers) was cuddled by the owner. It had a bandage where the horns would have been and was very quiet. Thanks to all who attended and to the Journal for the good publicity.
