This spring, Placer Land Trust invites artists to become inspired by and create work on the landscapes the trust has protected in Placer County. Special plein air opportunities will coincide with the annual “Treasured Landscapes” hike series. Work is welcome in any medium.
Artists are invited to visit and work on the following properties from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.:
April 14 – Taylor Ranch Preserve.
April 28 – Doty Ravine Preserve.
May 12 – Harvego Bear River Preserve.
May 19 – Oest Ranch-Lake Clementine Preserve.
June 23 – Canyon View Preserve.
Reservations are required by noon the Thursday before the outing. To register, contact Karrie Thomas at (530) 887-9222 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Specify which outing(s) you would like to attend. Directions and other information will be sent upon registration.
Artists may submit work inspired by Placer Land Trust properties to the juried “Natural Wonders Forever” show at the Blue Line Gallery in Roseville. The show will hang from Aug. 28 to Oct. 2.
Entries must be submitted digitally via Blue Line’s submission page by Aug. 1 (www.rosevillearts.org/exhibits/calls.html). A jury of local artists will select work for the show by Aug. 15. Work must be dropped off at the gallery on Aug. 24.
