On Jan. 10, AT&T was granted a continuance by the Auburn City Council so that we could review the feasibility of additional proposed sites suggested by members of the community who we had recently met with prior to the meeting. (“Public meeting to address cell tower tension,” Journal, Jan. 25). AT&T is committed to providing the Auburn community with fast, high-quality and reliable wireless service. We asked for more time to evaluate the suggestions provided by neighbors. We have been hard at work since the meeting, performing network and acoustic testing, analyzing photo simulations and reviewing landscaping options. We look forward to the opportunity to discuss these alternatives and provide a comprehensive report to the City Council and the Auburn community so that we may move forward with bringing new wireless infrastructure and service to the community and improving our service to Downtown and Old Town Auburn.
