Auburn falls to nemesis Tahoe-Tallac

The Auburn Little League Senior All-Star team saw its run at the Division II Tournament come to an end Thursday night in Rio Linda. Auburn fell to Tahoe-Tallac 8-5 in the championship round. Auburn used a five-run fourth inning to grab a two-run lead Thursday, but Tahoe-Tallac responded with four runs in the fifth to regain the advantage. The squad from Sacramento tacked on one more run in the seventh. Taylor Graham blasted a three-run home run and finished 2-for-4 at the plate to spark Auburn. Haley Tupen was 3-for-3 as Auburn out-hit Tahoe-Tallac 7-6. The Auburn squad needed two wins over Tahoe-Tallac to win the title after battling back through the elimination bracket to the championship round. Auburn has accumulated an 11-4-1 record over the summer between its games in Little League action and in club play as the Auburn Storm. The 16-and-under squad will play in the Davis-Dixon Tournament next month.
