This week Auburn Journal Newsmakers caught up with Terry Crouson, commander of the Auburn Area Honor Guard, to talk about Memorial Day and ceremonies slated for the Auburn Area.
We met up with Crouson at the New Auburn Cemetery as he was assisting the Boys Scouts in placing flags on veterans' graves in preparation for Monday's events. Crouson talks about the ceremonies coming Monday, his personal connection to Memorial Day through his father, a World War II veteran, and his brother, who was killed in Vietnam, and the formation of the honor guard, which has done more than 600 military funerals since its creation. Listen to his story and learn about the Auburn area's work to honor our veterans.
