After making a large purchase like buying a new vehicle, it's important to get it serviced regularly so it will perform properly and last a long time. To let potential customers know what the local auto dealers' service centers offer, we're profiling Auburn-area dealerships' service departments. Below is the third in a series of question-and-answer profiles. Below, Auburn Nissan's service manager, Travis Weller, answers questions about his shop. What services do you provide? We provide maintenance and repairs on all vehicles, we do warranty repair on Nissans and can perform advanced diagnostics on all Nissans and Infinitis. What technology is available in your department? We have the Consult 2 and Consult 3 tools for all Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, as well as the Snap-on scan tool for all other vehicles. The shop also has new battery and tire machines. Can I get a smog check there and what is the cost? Not any longer. What's the most advanced equipment you have? Our most advanced tool is our factory-trained technicians. Machines report the data but our tech's properly decipher the information to correctly repair your vehicle. How big is your service area and how many vehicles can you accommodate? Our new location is equipped with six lifts and several flat stalls. We have room for an expansion of up to 12 lifts. How many technicians, service advisers, and other personnel do you have in your department? We have five technicians, two service advisers and three detail/lot porters in service. Do you have any specially certified technicians? How many and what are their specialties in? All of our technicians are Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified, two of which are ASE Motor Technicians. Do you have a quick lube department and how long does an oil change take and what does it cost? We do not have a quick lube, but an oil change takes about 45 minutes with a wash and vacuum and costs $31.95 for most vehicles. Do you have a detail business with service, and if so what services does it offer? Yes we do. We offer full service detail, engine cleaning and our famous Mini Detail. What services do you provide that other garages might not have? We wash and vacuum every car that comes into service. We strive to provide excellent customer service and to make sure every customer leaves completely satisfied. Do you have a courtesy shuttle service for customers who drop their cars off? Yes, we do.
