An Auburn man was arrested Friday on suspicion of burglary and robbery in connection with two incidents this week in Auburn. Nathaniel Gibson, 21, is being held at Placer County Jail with bail set at $100,000, Auburn Police Sgt. Rick Hardesty said in a press release.
On May 20, Auburn police officers responded to the 300 Block of Huntley Avenue for a burglary report, with items taken from the victim’s residence and from a vehicle on scene. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Gibson was the suspect in the case, Hardesty said.
According to the police report, on May 22, the suspect reportedly entered a business at the 100 Block of Borland Avenue, where he allegedly forced his way past two employees in order to access the cash register, took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot.
