Auburn Police make arrest in burglary case

After a seven-month investigation the Auburn Police Department arrested an Alta man on charges of burglary and grand theft.

On Tuesday investigator Adam Cline arrested Donald Verbrugge on two counts of burglary and two counts of grand theft for allegedly taking part in burglaries and thefts at businesses located at the Auburn Airport, according to a press release issued Tuesday afternoon. Verbrugge is currently in custody at the Placer County Jail on a no-bail hold.

Currently, the Auburn Police Department is still looking for a second suspect involved in the burglaries and thefts. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Auburn Police Department at (530) 823-4237.
