I would like to take this time to thank the Auburn community for its generosity and support of the Auburn Kiwanis See’s Candies sales. As always, this confirms the giving spirit of our community. Not only did you support the Auburn Kiwanis Club but your kindness to the See’s for Soldiers was overwhelming. I am sure the men and women in the armed services appreciated it, also. As chairperson, I would also like to thank the members of the Auburn Kiwanis Club for their undying commitment to this project. It could not have been done without each and every one of you. There are always so many people to thank but I would like to thank the Raley’s shopping center for its support and the Soroptomist Club for its partnership with the Angel Tree. Appreciation also goes to KAHI for holding the can drive in front of our store. They also made several announcements regarding our candy store even though the temperature dipped. Dave (Rosenthal) was there in his barrel, collecting for the Auburn Food Basket Program. Please note: 100 percent of funds raised from this candy sale go directly back to the children in our community. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to change the world one child and one community at a time. Happy new year, everyone. Jo Ann Wojcik, chairperson, Auburn Kiwanis See’s Candy Sales
