Wintry weather has silenced the Auburn Symphony’s beloved Messiah Sing-Along concert. Bill Kenney, Auburn Symphony president, said Monday afternoon that Tuesday’s holiday concert would be cancelled due to safety concerns. With wet, cold conditions forecast for Tuesday night in Auburn, Kenney and symphony members don’t want pedestrians or motorists to take any chances getting to the show. “I’d just hate anyone, with black ice, to slip,” Kenney said. “We simply don’t want people to get hurt.” The Auburn Symphony is offering ticket refunds.
