The results of various ballot measures at last Tuesday’s (Nov. 8) elections were a great day for Americans and a gigantic victory for the middle class. The state of Ohio voted to overturn the anti-union measure was exceptionally rewarding. Locally, the Auburn City Council’s encouraging its employees to give up their collective bargaining power is disturbing. The all-Republican council is also promoting a city charter that does away with prevailing wages, which is another assault on the middle-class workers. Auburn, wake up! BUD PISAREK, Auburn
