There’s plenty of fall fun to be found in the foothills this month. Fall Wine & Brew Fest The Fall Wine & Brew Fest, hosted by Seniors First, takes place 5-9 p.m. Saturday at The Ridge Golf Club & Events Center, 3030 Golf Course Road, Auburn. See a local production of Thorton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama at 7 p.m. Nov. 11-12 and Nov. 18-20, with a 2 p.m. matinee scheduled for Nov. 13. All performances take place at the Placer High School auditorium, 275 Orange St., Auburn. Tickets are $10 general or $6 for children, students and seniors. Faith and Fantasy Ball The Faith and Fantasy Ball, sponsored by the Sutter Auburn Faith Foundation, takes place Nov. 13 at the Ridge Golf Club & Events Center, 3030 Golf Course Road, Auburn. The black tie dinner dance is a major fundraiser for foundation-sponsored health services, hospital needs and the hospice program. Be sure to check out the 17th annual Mountain Mandarin Festival, which takes place Nov. 19-21 at the Gold Country Fairgrounds, 1273 High St., Auburn. The festival is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 19, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 20 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 21. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and free for ages 12 and under. Parking is $5. Take your pick from the 90 Placer County artists who are readying their work for PlacerArts’ 17th annual Autumn Art Studios Tour, which runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 12-14. Many artists will open their private studios for the weekend. Among this year’s participants are six first-timers from the Auburn area — Ty Conners, April Dimmick, Mark Andrew Flores-Smith, Maureen Thomas, Pierre Butler, and Michael Maydak. Tickets for the three-day Autumn Art Studios Tour are $10 for adults, with K-12 students free. Holiday Open Studio Artists Rick and Janet Nicholson, of Nicholson Blown Glass will open their studio to the public for demonstrations during their annual Holiday Open Studio.
