Bear River girls hoops beat Dixon in Foundation Game; Placer holds foe to 8 points

Kaitlyn Reina scored 14 points, Maddi Dunn added 10 and the Bear River girls basketball team beat visitng Dixon 46-41 in a Foundation Game Monday night. 
Savannah Welz added nine points for Bear River, which plays McClymonds of Oakland today at 3:30 p.m. in opening game of the Winter Wolf Classic American Canyon High.
Placer 62, Golden Sierra 8 — The Lady Hillmen (1-0) held host Golden Sierra to just two points per quarter Tuesday night in a game Placer led 40-4 at halftime. Placer plays at the Live Oak Tournament this weekend, starting today. 
Del Oro 66, Colfax 31 — Stephanie Geyer had 20 points for the hosting Del Oro Golden Eagles, who led 35-15 at halftime in a Foundation Game Monday. Del Oro plays its first official game today at the Sonora Kiwansis Tournament against Lodi at 5:30 p.m. 
Colfax 47, Roseville 31 — Colfax (1-0) beat Roseville Tuesday night behind Raegan Lillie’s 10-point outing. Colfax hosts Dixon on Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. 
Boys basketball
Bear River 60, Dixon 42 — Justin Beskeen scored 26 points to lead the Bruins to a Foundation Game victory Monday night. Bear River plays Head-Royce of Oakland today at 5 p.m. in the opener of the Winter Wolf Classic at American Canyon High.
