Lives in: Meadow Vista, since 1981 Job: Director of social services at Auburn Ravine Terrace in Auburn for 18 years. “I’m a jack of all trades, master of some. I take care of what the elderly need: haircut, doctor’s appointments, the newsletter. If I have time, I visit with people. Enjoy every bit of it.” On letter writing: “It kind of gets a load off of me when I write something to the editor on different items that come up in today’s world. Putting things down on paper helps get rid of animosity. If you talk to somebody they can give you positive feedback and you feel a little better.” Does for fun: “Go visit friends I’ve known since second grade. Go antiquing. My husband of 51 years, Kenneth, and I take a ride.” Most recent letter: “The politicians work for us,” June 28
