Sunday (Feb. 19) was the 23rd presentation of Music for Humanity concert at Pioneer United Methodist Church. These concerts are organized by Sue Dings, who graces many of the cultural events in Auburn. The very receptive audience heard musical presentations by these outstanding artists: Colla Voce Chamber Singers, Tom Brier on ragtime piano, The Begin Family, Pioneer Chancel Choir, Toot Sweet Brass Co., Raspberry Jam Band and Dr. Bach & the Jazz Practitioners. They all performed without remuneration so all the offerings collected went to the two charities — Habitat for Humanity ($1,369.50) and Auburn Interfaith Food Closet ($1,339.50) — for a total of $2,709. It is wonderful to see how generous the people of Auburn are. If you attended, I am sure you would join me in thanks for the program. If you were not there, I hope you will put it on your next year’s calendar. Every year the program is outstanding, as well as the food provided by church members at the reception.
