Justin Beskeen scored 30 points but it wasn’t enough for the Bruins.

After dropping a 53-42 decision at Foothill Friday night, Bear River fell to 14-9, 1-6 in the Pioneer Valley League.

“We were in it all the way,” said Bruins coach Duwaine Ganskie. “It was a tough ending. We just didn’t get things going at the end.”

Bear River trailed by eight entering the fourth quarter and came within four late.

“We didn’t have enough gas at the end,” Ganskie said. “I thought the kids fought well and played hard at a tough place to play.”

Bear River still needs one more league win to become playoff eligible.
