A special process called "Journey of Faith" will again be offered to adults at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Auburn. This process, based on ancient Christian practices, invites women and men to explore their faith and ask questions and satisfy their desire to be baptized or renew their baptism. The process begins with "Come and See" sessions that cover the basics of Christianity. The series begins on Sept. 14 and takes place on Wednesdays through Nov. 16. A light supper will be offered at 5:30 p.m., followed by the sessions which run until 7:30 p.m. The "Journey of Faith" process begins in earnest in December when participants learn the essential practices of worship, scripture, community, prayer and ministry in daily life. The "Journey of Faith" culminates at the Easter Vigil, in a baptism ceremony and affirmation of baptism. Bethlehem Lutheran Church is located at 1279 High Street in Auburn. Call (530) 885-4515 or go to www.bethlehemlutheranauburn.org for information about the church and the "Journey of Faith" process.
