United States Army member Jason Content, an E4 Specialist, visited the Boys & Girls Club in Auburn on Monday by invitation of the children and was presented with a Random Acts of Christmas Kindness award. Content is currently serving with the U.S. Army in Afghanistan and is on his way back after a two-week leave. The children made Christmas cards and gave them to Content to distribute to fellow service men and women serving overseas. “The children thought it would be good for the kids to have an opportunity to look beyond themselves,” said Jana Iversen, director of Programs and Training with the Boys & Girls Club. The children had a few minutes to ask Content about what he does in the Army and found out he is a cook who feeds 150 people three meals a day in Afghanistan. They then presented him with more than 100 Christmas cards.
