To the City of Auburn building department: Yesterday I took my two grandsons to the Ashford Park. We parked along Auburn Ravine Road and entered the park via the wood footbridge across Auburn Ravine. One of my grandchildren almost slid under the railing’s balusters, and almost fell into the Auburn Ravine. The building code requires that the spacing between posts be no more than four inches apart. This is a dangerous situation and should be replaced for children’s safety. The present spacing is about 12 inches apart, so a child can fit between the posts. Robert Levy, Auburn
