Bruins softball squad goes to 5-0 in the PVL

The Bear River High softball team crushed Lincoln 11-1 Wednesday on the road, improving to 5-0 in the Pioneer Valley League. Maddie Phelps pitched five stellar innings, scattering six hits and walking none. Cambria Holcomb tied a Bruin record for hits in a game, going 5-for-5 with two triples, a double and three RBIs. Alyssa Reina was 4-for-5 with two RBIs, Stephanie Ceo was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and Mackinze Hollister knocked in four runs. Jen Astwood added a double and Ali Thill was 2-for-4. The Bruins had 16 hits as a team. Bear River will face Foothill on the road Thursday.
