Care for music with that tree?

I thank the Auburn Journal for the story about the Placer High Music Boosters Holiday Tree fundraiser (Nov. 30). With schools experiencing major cutbacks, our reliance on community support and partners is greater than ever, especially as Placer’s music program grows in size and quality. The music program does wonders for the many students involved, and it contributes to many community activities throughout the year. We are grateful for donations from Foothill Security Fence, J.R.’s Sanitation, Volvo Rents and others, for Eisley Nursery’s help in arranging our tree purchases, and for the helping hands of nearly 200 of our musicians and their families. Our loyal customers come back each year to buy our trees because they know we have the nicest trees in town. Enjoy some holiday music from our talented saxophone quartet this weekend, noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and noon to 1 p.m. on Sunday while you look for that “perfect tree.” To enjoy the full range of our music program and more Placer holiday spirit, we invite you to our free Winter Music Concert in the Placer High School auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10.
