Castle City Koffee Klatch continues support of Newcastle Fire Department

-A +A
The Koffee Klatch of Castle City Mobile Home Park in Newcastle is dedicated to raising funds for the Newcastle Volunteer Fire Department. The group has raised money over the years for the fire department, and once a year presents it with a check. This year is a little different in that the Newcastle Fire Department building has been condemned and a new building is needed to house the department. The land has been acquired and the raising of funds for the new building has started. Outgoing treasurer Linda Osborn and other members of the Koffee Klatch recently presented the fire department with a check for $3,000 to add to their building fund, along with blankets and stuffed bears that were donated by residents of Castle City Mobile Home Park. The Koffee Klatch will continue to support the fire department and thank them for their service to the community.
