-A +A

The Celebrity Chefs Cooking for Community Service event will take place Thursday, March 1, in the Placer Building of the Gold Country Fairgrounds. The doors open to the public at 5:30 p.m.

For 26 years, area cooks have presented their culinary talents by offering samples to those eager to taste the results.

This year, the Auburn 49er Lions have selected the Forgotten Soldier Program to receive the proceeds. The program promotes social, spiritual and emotional well-being and helps prepare returning members of the military to re-enter civilian life.

If you have a special dish that you would like to share, become a Celebrity Chef or simply come fill your plate with some irresistible foods. Tickets cost $15. For information about tickets or becoming a chef, call (530) 863-7503.
