This is for all citizens of Auburn and Placer County. The Citizens’ Awareness Academy for Auburn Police Department and Placer County Sheriff’s office are coming soon (Journal, Feb. 17). I urge all citizens to sign up and go through the two programs. It is an eye-opener on what law enforcement officers have to deal with. I attended both in 2010. My daughter was a community service officer for her police department. My son-in-law is now a sergeant with the K9 for Corning PD. I learned what they have to deal with on a daily basis. I appreciate all that our officers have to deal with while dealing with the stupidity of mankind. Keep up the good work. No, wait. Keep up the excellent work! Thank you to all in law enforcement.
