City Council moving charter forward?

-A +A
The Auburn City Council could make a step toward a potential charter status Monday. On the council’s agenda is the last scheduled public charter city hearing. According to city documents, the council will discuss two issues related to the topic: whether or not to direct staff to put resolutions on a future council agenda that could place the charter on a future ballot and the internal governance issues “in light of the city attorney’s staff report.” The agenda also includes a motion to potentially direct staff to send a letter to AMGEN officials showing the council’s support of the Tour of California returning to Auburn in 2012. The meeting could also address the final labor negotiations offer to representatives of Local 39, according to city documents. ~Staff report
