Reagan Lillie scored 15 points, Taylor Avila added nine and the Colfax girls basketball team thumped the Fighting Zebras in Lincoln Tuesday night, 41-26, in a Pioneer Valley League game.
“We controlled pretty much the entire game,” said coach Dave Campbell, whose team led 25-11 at halftime. “We got all the subs in today, so it was a nice little break for us.”
Kylie Kirkland chipped in with six points and Amber Tobiaz added five for the Falcons (14-8, 4-1), who host Placer Thursday at 7 p.m.
“The girls love that matchup,” said Campbell, whose team lost to Placer in Auburn in overtime earlier in the month. “Anytime Placer comes to town for any sport, we rise to the occasion. It’s a big deal for Colfax.”
