Colfax woman faces charges in daughter's molestation
A Colfax woman remains jailed after she was arrested by the FBI on charges that she allegedly molested her own daughter.
The woman was arrested at her home by the FBI for allegedly molesting the child in October 2010. She is also accused of allegedly allowing three men to sexually molest the child, now 5 years old, according to FBI court documents.
The woman’s name is being withheld to protect the identity of the young victim.
Evidence of the alleged sexual assaults came to light in January of this year during an investigation regarding Jason Wymer, of Citrus Heights, who had been arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography. During an interview, the court documents say, Wymer admitted that in 2010 he and two other men had sexually molested a minor child at a party in Sacramento, where he also saw the child’s mother molest her daughter.
The woman was subsequently identified through photographs that were found in a computer that had been seized by the FBI at Wymer’s residence.
As of Thursday, the suspect was being held in Sacramento County Jail; she is ineligible for bail.
