Community involvement makes Houston best choice

-A +A
On June 3rd, I encourage the people of the 5th District of Placer County to follow my lead in supporting Bob Houston for supervisor. I have had the pleasure of knowing Bob and his family for the past 25 years and can think of no one more qualified to assume this position. From a community standpoint, Bob, his family and his business have donated tens of thousands of dollars and countless hours to the area, supporting local non-profits such as the Auburn Boys & Girls Club, the Placer Land Trust, the Auburn Symphony and a personal passion of mine, the “Relay for Life” cancer awareness walk. As longtime chair of the local chapter, we would not have experienced such terrific levels of success without the support of Bob and his family. Bob is caring, incredibly hard-working and a testament to the concept of being a self-made man. Growing up with modest means during the height of the Great Depression, Bob learned from his parents the value of taking care of your neighbors and your community. This ethic has been an integral part of his life and he is willing to volunteer, without pay, his considerable knowledge in government for the benefit of our county. Again, I urge your support for Bob on June 3rd. Joan Maxwell Foresthill
