Drew Cramer and Braden Duncan shot their best rounds of the year and the Bear River golf team cruised past Center at Cherry Island Thursday.

Cramer shot a 47 and Duncan 48 as the Bruins (3-3, 3-2) picked up a 233-274 Pioneer Valley League victory.

Coach Gayne Nakano said it was the first time most of his players had played on the par-37 course. Center’s Darell Pitman (43) was the medalist on the day.

Bear River’s scores were rounded out by Jake Depass (44), Cody Heard (47), Ian Armstrong (47) and Connor McLendon (52).

Next up for the Bruins is the first PVL league meet, an 18-hole, par-72 challenge at Diamond Oaks Monday. Nakano said Placer is likely the team to beat.
