Dare to be part of the solution

Wow — can’t believe all the letters with all the cross-talk about who is an American and who is not. Those carrying copies of the Constitution around and those that are still looking for hope and change no matter what. The law allows for any president, as President Bush did, to make recess appointments. Yes, I know that lawmakers were there a few hours a day. Were they there, along with the president, really doing the people’s work or acting like spoiled brats? And while we debate with each other on who is or not an American — we divide our country and ourselves. We should be coming together and looking for solutions within our communities. So I challenge all to find the courage to be part of the solution and not just talk about the problems. Stephen Lentz, Auburn
