Re: “Elevated pitbull an unwelcome sight,” (Reader Input, Nov. 28). The dog peering over the fence is due to the steep grade of the hill. The dog is not “elevated onto a table,” but simply standing in a planter box. I find it hard to imagine anyone being scared of a dog that is behind a 6-foot fence. Besides the logistics of the property, I think that it would be beneficial for (letter writer) Loyce Smallwood to gather accurate facts. While I do understand that people are fearful of pitbulls — last time I checked not all white dogs are pitbulls. In fact, the dog is a deaf white boxer — a breed known for being family friendly and loving. So you can go on feeling safe as you roam the streets of Auburn. Leisha Flores, Auburn
