This letter is regarding the recent bill proposal that would allow illegal immigrants to get financial aid. If the person is illegal and doesn’t have a citizenship, then why should we give them financial aid? In my opinion, there are two types of people — legal citizens or illegal immigrants. Now, I believe that there are two types of illegal immigrants. The first is the person who came here knowingly breaking the immigration laws. Second is the person who was brought by their parents as a very young child with no idea where they are or what laws they’re breaking. If someone was brought here illegally as a child and spent their whole like here, then give them citizenship; they’re American. But, if someone willingly broke the law to live here, then punish them, don’t give them financial aid. Jake Bartel, Rocklin
