Don’t spoil your children

Anybody that knows me will tell you I say it like it is. Sometimes a little more “like it is” than they want to hear. My wife and I worked like dogs our whole life and didn’t complain. We wanted our kids to have it better than we did. Now I think that was a mistake. The reason I say this is the young people these days wouldn’t work two jobs if their life depended on it. I’ve heard young people say they are not worrying about their retirement because their parents have money. Did you ever see the bumper sticker on back of a motorhome going down the highway that reads, “We’re spending our kid’s inheritance”? KNIGHT WAGNER, Colfax
