Auburn police are still looking for answers in a shooting that killed one Auburn man. A 42-year-old Auburn man was shot in his Dorer Drive home Saturday afternoon. He was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center where he was pronounced dead later that day. On Wednesday, Detective Adam Cline said police still could not release the man’s name. “I think some of the family is still being contacted,” Cline said. Cline said at this point police are investigating the death, but they have not ruled it as a suicide. “We want to figure it out,” Cline said. “We want to make sure we have got it the right way. It is just going to take some time.” Cline said it could be weeks before the department has any answers. “It’s not going to happen this week,” he said. Detectives are still interviewing residents who live in the area, getting background about the days that led up to the incident, Cline said. Cline said there currently are no persons of interest who could be possible suspects in the case. Cline said he couldn’t comment on what kind of gun was used for the shooting. ~Bridget Jones
