AUBURN CA - Arrested in August on embezzlement allegations, ex-Auburn Elementary School Parent Teacher Club president Traci Bucher now has an arraignment date scheduled for Nov. 13. The case remains under investigation, said Lynette Low of the Placer County District Attorney’s Office. Arraignment will be in Dept. 31 at the Bill Santucci Justice Center in Roseville. Placer County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Bucher in late August on allegations that she used a debit card issued by the parent club when she was president to misappropriate as much as $4,200 from the non-profit organization. She was initially scheduled to make a court appearance Sept. 11 in North Auburn but the change was made because of caseload considerations both with the court and District Attorney’s Office, Low said. Out on bail, Bucher has declined to comment on the case, on the advice of her attorney. The non-profit parent-teacher club operates independently of the Auburn Union School District but raises funds for students and activities not covered in the regular district budget. Its yearly revenue over the last several years has been about $30,000.
