Q. How long have you been the owner of Tango and how did you get started? A. I opened Tango on Sept. 4, 2009. I was laid off from Hewlett Packard one year before and it was my plan to open up something for myself and be part of the community. Q. Did you grow up in Auburn? A. I grew up in Vacaville and met my husband 20 years ago and moved up to Auburn with him. He was raised here. Q. What are your favorite hobbies? A. I haven’t done any in a while, but right now I like hiking. I got turned onto it a couple of years ago. It’s unbelievable how much is out here, just in my own backyard. Q. What is your favorite TV show and movie? A. Right now I love “Celebrity Apprentice.” I love reality TV but my husband hates it. I like “American Idol,” too. My favorite movie that I could watch over and over is “Meet the Fockers.” Q. What do you enjoy reading? A. My favorite magazine is “Body & Soul.” I have it here at the store. It’s about health and nutrition. Q. What is your favorite frozen yogurt flavor? A. Coconut is my favorite right now with sliced almonds and dark chocolate chips. Q. What is your greatest achievement? A. I would say aside from my family it would be this store. Not just selling yogurt, but being part of the community. It’s given me this opportunity to give back. That’s why I wanted to do it. Q. What’s a future goal? A. I’d like to take time off for a vacation, but also I’d like to have another venture here in Downtown Auburn. Q. Where would you like to go on vacation? A. I’d love to go to Mexico and relax. There are a whole lot of other places I’d like to see, but right now I’d like to spend time on the beach, relaxing. Q. What’s the best part about working at Tango? A. I think the best part is meeting great people and making people happy. They seem to be happy when they come down here. Tango Frozen Yogurt is located at 940 Lincoln Way, Auburn.
