F.A.S.T. NorCal Gold Country Spring Speed Weekend set for Auburn

The F.A.S.T. NorCal Gold Country Spring Speed Weekend and Hillclimb will be held May 4, 5 and 5 in Auburn.

This event is for Model T, A and B Ford engine powered vehicle; multiple classes. Technical information sessions begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 28, in the Sierra Room at Canyon View Community Center, 471 Maidu Drive, Auburn. 

The course is a tenth of a mile long, at an 8 percent grade. The event takes place on Maidu Drive, in the Auburn State Park Recreation Area. The entrance is from Pacific Street.

Meeting and track admission cost is $40, racer fee is $30, or both for $60. Spectator fees are $10 per person. Saturday, May 5
8 a.m.: Coffee and donuts, Community Center
8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Lecture series
11:30 a.m.: Spectator gate opens
12:30 p.m.: Lunch time
1 p.m.: Tech inspection and trial runs. Pre-1935 four-cylinder engine cars only
5:30-8:30 p.m.: Dinner, Sizzler
Sunday, May 6
8:30-9:30 a.m.: Tech inspection
9-11:30 a.m.: Timed event runs
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Trophy runs
