Festival of Lights parade postponed
Auburn’s Festival of Lights parade has been postponed to Dec. 8 due to forecasted rain, according to Steve Galyardt, chairman of the event. The parade was originally going to be held this Saturday, but because this week’s storm is expected to be big, the event coordinators decided to delay the parade, Galyardt said. According to Galyardt, no other rain date has been set and they are going to take their chances with Dec. 8. The annual parade travels through Downtown Auburn from Borland Avenue to the Gold Country Fairgrounds. It showcases floats and usually draws a crowd of over 10,000.
