Fire protection not what it should be

On Dec. 14 I read on the front page of the Auburn Journal about another house that was destroyed by fire. When are we going to wake up to the fact that we have no or next to no fire protection in Placer County? I don’t know how much the taxpayers pay for fire protection in Placer County, but what I do know is that we are not getting our money’s worth. Our fire insurance keeps going up and up. What happens when insurance companies refuse to insure the folks in the hills? Knight Wagner, Colfax
