A fixed-income vote for Wal-Mart

-A +A

This is in response to Patrick MacRoberts’ “Does North Auburn need a Wal-Mart?” (Reader Input, June 6). I agree with Peggy Impala, who wrote “Wal-Mart and more needed,” (Reader Input, June 10). Maybe not for the same reason that Peggy stated, although there are many times that I can’t find what I need in stores here in Auburn.
The biggest reason that I need a Wal-Mart is for the lower prices. I am retired and live on a fixed income. The cost of products is very important to me.
Just one example: I used to buy dog food at K-Mart, but then I found that Wal-Mart has the same thing for $2 cheaper per box. My dog consumes one box a week, so this is a big savings. I found that this is the case for many other products that I purchase.
So Wal-Mart is needed here in North Auburn, if you want to save money.
